Happy Valentine's Day from our tribe to yours!

A Poetic Recap of The Exciting Lives of the Coffman Family

So much has happened, so much is new! We hope to update you & fill you in on our crew.

We have 12 grandchildren now!

Just after Christmas ’22 to Guatemala we went to give.
We went with a friend & his church to build a home for a sweet family to live.

Fully blessed from that trip, to Costa Rica we flew,
then more adventures in Panama & Cuba too.

In February last year we celebrated 30 years of marriage,
John whisked me on a trip ‘round the world in a carriage.
 Just kidding, we took planes.

We started in Hawaii, Guam, & the Philippines we travelled.
From there off to Tokyo where street go karts we saddled.

Back home for The Kinsman’s, a dream came true.
Olivia Grace joined their family!  September 15th, the adoption went thru.

Jenna, Laura, & Landon met us at Shinjuku Station by train.
Jenna’s flight bennies ROCKED it, all had upgraded seats on the plane.

There was Tokyo Disneyland, tons of gyoza, & ramen, AWESOME!
Snowboarding in Hakuba, views of Mt. Fuji, & the best of all, Cherry Blossom(s)!

Back to work Jenna went, while the rest of us stayed.
We went on to Hong Kong & spent some fun days.

A bougie hotel room, a day at Disney to explore,
more yummy food, & city tour, you could say we weren’t bored.

Disney Shanghai was calling so onward we went.
Jenna’s bennies still rockin’, so less $$ was spent.
Wahoo! Seriously, Jenna’s bennies were the MVP last year.

Disney was amazing, the best Pirates ride EVER to be on,
an adventurous ropes course, & our first time on TRON.

Sketchy massages turned fun, best Hot Pot of our lives stood out.
Spent an afternoon in Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town with canals & bridges about.

Next stop was Germany for some nice family time,
we had gorgeous walks, & saw castles, & did other things that don’t rhyme.

Now ’twas time to go home, little Livi we wanted to greet.
Tears of joy streamed down both our cheeks when we finally did meet.

Lincoln & Blythe got their Disney trips with Omi & Opi, lil eggs,
we went back at Christmas with Linc & Tali, Kaans, Jaramillos, Nortunes, & Greggs.

To Tijuana a few Mission Trips we’ve led.
“We feel blessed beyond measure, got more than we gave”, all have said.

At the beach with Florida family we got time to visit,
at the pool & on swamp boats, not too shabby, is it?

End of May we gained one more son when Jenna & Joshua did marry.
They did a little air show in an Extra 330 that wasn’t scary. Actually, it was a LITTLE scary.

A Gold Play Button for a million subscribers for Listener Kids,
Coffman Construction’s also had lots of likes for cool posts & cool vids.

We got to spend time with so many dear friends,
here in Denver, California, Franklin, Mexico, & all over the world, it’s always sad when it ends.

Dec. 2022 a trip to Ojai, CA to visit some of John’s sibs

Middle of Dec. ‘22 we flew standby on Jenna’s bennies to London, then on to Paris for a day at Disney.

Christmas Eve Service in Castle Rock, CO

In Nov., our nephew Jeremy & his friend Lukas from Germany came to stay for a couple months.

We loved having him serve at our Annual Women’s Christmas Dinner with us.

January was a trip to Alabama for a Worship Conference with Danny

A visit to Disneyland with the Velings for my birthday in January.

Jason visited from Montana, now it’s our turn to visit!

We were blessed to have multiple trips out to see John’s parents, including Mother’s Day

Another benefit to many trips to San Diego is time with John’s bro Andy & wife Michelle

The Martins came to San Diego from Thailand, before they moved to S. Korea

July brought a trip to the Oshkosh airshow.  WOW!

August was another Worship Conference in Chino Valley

After a worship conf, a visit to John’s brother Stefano

Jarod was in LA for a teaching thing from S. Korea, I mean, we had to visit!

A visit to the McKees in Mexico, Joey was going thru Cancer treatment for stage 4 melanoma,

prayers appreciated.

July brought a last minute trip for baby moon.
We took Jarod, Kate, Lala, & Landon to London & Paris, James would be here soon!

In August a surprise 80th birthday for John’s Mom.

The weekend with John’s 8 siblings from all over the world was anything but calm.

Actually, it was a blast, we loved it!

October brought cute Mister James to our brood.

His adorable face is guaranteed to brighten any sour mood.

Firstborn son for our only son Jarod & his cute wife Kate,

the first COFFMAN named grandchild, we think he’s just great.

Thanks to bennies for another last minute trip we’d uncover,
spent some time with family in Nova Scotia & then New England for fall views to discover.

Sweet Rooney Barbara, born to the Thornburgs in December.
We’re now even, 6 boys & 6 girls, we all UTTERLY love her!

After Christmas, thanks ‘gain bennies, on to NYC with Greggs & Nortunes.
Then onto Stowe, Vermont for super fun snowboarding afternoons.

My Mom’s 70th in January brought us to Fairbanks.
We enjoyed warmer weather, dog sledding, hot springs, & Northern Lights!  Oh give thanks!

We decided to make one more stop before home.
We enjoyed snowy hot tub & snowboarding in Canada at Whistler Blackcomb.

Now we’re home warm & cozy as inspiration hits.
I’m writing this cheesy recap poem & hoping just right it sits.

(Thanks to Cija @ 3 Wishes Photography for some great shots!)

I’m so thankful & blessed to do life with my crew.
For God so loved the world, He gave His son for me & for YOU.

As Valentine’s Day does draw near, I’ll just share a quick note for you to hear.
His love is the BEST.  It’s so gracious & kind.  There’s no greater love on this earth you will find.

Thanks for reading my poem & spending your time.
Hopefully you laughed & you smiled at my sly, goofy rhyme.

May you feel LOVED today!  - John & Jaime

“I have loved you,” says the Lord.   Mal 1:2

He Brought me to the banqueting house, & His banner over me was love.   Song of Sol 2:4

Bless the Lord, O my soul: & all that is within me, bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, & forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities,

who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction,

who crowns you with lovingkindness & tender mercies….   Psalm 103:1-4

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  John 3:16
