Catch up

I feel like having both facebook and a blog, some things are missed. So, these are the things that were missed because the pics are from my phone and were put on facebook, but not the blog. If you're one of the few doing BOTH blog and facebook, forgive me for the repeats!

We set up our Christmas tree and the next morning Laura decided to eat our last marshmallow faced Hershey's kiss angel ornament that the three older girls made YEARS ago! Gross!
Fortunately, we made some for G-ma Jan too! She still had one left, that's what it looked like before Laura ate it! Note mom had only one left, that's because Jenna ate all the others when she was little! I guess there's a chocolate problem that runs in the family!
We made gingerbread houses with friends, we just threw away the last standing one last week!

We saw some Christmas lights, pretty!

We sang with some other people from church at a Border's open house. It was a blast! Even the little ones sang some too! Lucy and Leah did as well. They were just taking turns hanging out with our friends little ones.
John mixed 10lbs. of mashed potatoes with his electric drill and drywall mud mixer.

Seriously, it over-mixes the potatoes giving them a funky texture, not so good!
On New Year's Eve we made and decorated some sugar cookies to bring to a friends house, what fun! Something we learned, if you use Crisco instead of butter, the cookies don't solidify, they just crumble. To remedy this, just add water! Thanks for the tip Tara!
