Florence I

We had heard from two people that the sunset in Florence is gorgeous from Piazzale Michaelangelo. So, we left Venice and raced toward Florence, pushing it very, very close! As we got closer and hit some construction traffic, it was clear that we weren't going to make it. So, remembering my Mom's advice to laugh at the things that go wrong, I didn't laugh but decided it was no biggie. This picture is from the freeway, once we realized for sure that we wouldn't make it. It actually is quite nice I think...

This picture is from the Piazzale where we wanted to be when the sun set. We made it there about 30min. after the official time of today's sunset. Tomorrow, we see THE statue of David by Michaelangelo, Pisa, and head towards Rome. Our journey continues...
