Florence II

I must share that unfortunately, our lenses or camera appear to have some dust on them. We'll have to get them cleaned when we get home. Sorry for the spots in some pics!

The next morning in Florence we saw THE statue of David. You aren’t allowed to take pics, bummer!, but, you know John, he snapped a few for me! However, because I don’t know all the blogspot rules and don’t want to offend anyone, it’s been censored!

Next, we walked off to the Duomo, a very beautiful church!

Michelangelo says these doors are as the doors of heaven.

Jarod and Laura are being troopers, John and I try to help them out whenever we can. You wouldn’t believe, actually you probably would, the stares and comments. If only we understood them! It seems most people actually stop and turn their heads to stare. Then you hear the counting and exclamations! One woman said “Mama Mia” in Rome!

One last look at Florence before we head out. At this piazzale, they have a bronze cast of David.

My two “boys” pose like David.
