Peggy's Cove

We had a wonderful day yesterday touring around town! We started out with more
senior pics at a local church in town. Wolfville is quite the cute little town!

While walking to the van, thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Bouter for the use of your van!!!!, we saw that the local firetruck was out. (Can you say out with the proper Canadian accent please, it's so much more fun that way!) We stopped and ask if we could take a picture or two!

Next we picked up Aunt Joy and Abby and head out for Peggy's Cove. It's a lovely drive and the company was great! In typical Aunt Joy fashion, the girls did Mad Libs all the way there. I have to admit, I giggled some too! After a quick detour to the Swiss Air 111 flight memorial just up the road from Peggy's Cove, we made our way to our final destination, the most recognized lighthouse in the WORLD!!! Whoo hoo!I love these little villages...

We were hungry after all our exploring and decided now was a good time for our McDonald's stop. We each ordered a double Big Mac, something NOT available to us in the States. Too bad, it was quite tasty! John ate his own and us girls all shared 2. It was fabulous!

Last stop, an old building Jessi had spotted on the way to Peggy's Cove,
she thought it would make for some good pics. I think she was right...

This is definitely up there for favs...

We made it home in time for some Durnas, something we actually ate with Joy in Germany back in '08. They were DELICIOUS! When we return with Leah and Jenna someday, it'll be on our list of something we must have! Yum! We ended the day with dessert at Mark and Heide's house. It was fabulous dessert and the fellowship was even better. We had a great time playing Balderdash. What a great end to a fabulous day.

John and I decided to walk back to Joy & Tim's to try and burn off all the fantastic food of the day. We've only run once since we got here. If I'm up early enough, I'll squeeze in one more fun before we leave for the airport in the morning.
